Tangent’s cost-saving energy solution starts with on-site clean generation assets like solar arrays or gas-fired generators.
By replacing a portion of the energy customer’s purchase at retail with energy purchased from on-site generation, Tangent’s customers lower the price they pay for energy while creating a hedge against inflation. Here’s how it works:
- Tangent evaluates each customer’s individual energy needs and recommends a clean on-site generation resource.
- Working with world class partners, Tangent oversees development, construction and grid integration.
- Tangent negotiates a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) – a contract that sells energy generated by the asset at a rate that is held flat for the duration of the long-term PPA.
- Tangent secures all financing, permitting and other approvals needed to see the entire project through to completion.
By holding the price for 30% of a customer’s energy bill flat at current rates, Tangent effectively lowers the price customers pay for energy while providing a 20-year hedge against energy inflation.
